Dr. Yizu Jiao completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of North Carolina in 2022. Before starting dental school, Dr. Jiao focus on the research of oral microbiota and host immunity associated periodontal disease at University of Michigan and University of North Carolina dental school. Dr. Jiao is a member of the American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society. Dr.Jiao received DDS Student Scholarship (2019) and Excellence in Clinical Periodontology Award (2022) during his dental school training.
Dr. Jiao currently practices in our Erwin and Mount Olive offices. He sees both children and adults. Besides general dentistry procedures, Dr. Jiao also enjoys practicing root canals, tooth or implant supported crown restoration, partial/complete denture. He has extreme passion to assist his patients to improve their oral health.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jiao loves to spend time with his wife Lily and son Bruce, hiking, playing soccer and basketball. He also likes coaching kids to play soccer.
