Dr. Padma Kandala

Dr. Padma Priya Kandala completed her BDS (Bachelors of Dental Surgery) and MDS (Masters of Dental Surgery) in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics from the NTR Health University in India. While she was in India, she also became a lecturer at her dental school. After moving to the US, she worked as an Orthodontic Assistant and pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. During her studies, Dr. Kandala has been awarded the Colgate Indian Dental Association Scholarship, Certificate of Merit by the Indian Society of Periodontology, the Russell W. Bunting Award in Periodontics & the Emerging Educator Award from the University of Michigan. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Indian Orthodontic Society. 

When asked about her approach to dentistry, Dr. Kandala stated, “My goal is to create a relaxing and comfortable environment for my patients, resulting in a positive dental experience. I love meeting new patients and spending time to educate them, thus forming a great partnership towards improving oral health.” 

In her free time, Dr. Kandala loves spending time with her friends & family. She often enjoys whipping up new recipes & spending time exploring new cultures with her two children.
