Sedation Dentistry at Lane DDS
At Lane & Associates, we want your dental appointment to go as smoothly as possible. Although we take special care to ensure that every patient is comfortable for the entire duration of his or her dental appointment, we realize that some individuals may need additional assistance to feel calm and relaxed while receiving dental care.
For these patients, we offer optional IV or sedation dentistry administered by our trained sedation dentists in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Greensboro, Biscoe, Dunn, and Sanford — Dr. Cross and Dr. Dunn, our board-certified oral surgeons, and Dr. Haralambakis, Dr. Costner, and Dr. Miller, our Sedation Dentists.
What is Sedation Dentistry?
Essentially, sedation dentistry uses sedatives to help ease a dental patient’s anxieties during a dental procedure.
Depending on the level and type of sedatives used, patients will experience varying degrees of sedation — from a light calming sensation to a deep, unconscious sleep. At Lane & Associates, we offer both IV sedation and dental sedation in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Greensboro, Biscoe, Dunn, and Sanford (at our Horner Blvd location) for the comfort and convenience of our patients.
Dental sedation may be perfect for you if you…
- Experience anxiety before and/or during dental appointments
- Have a strong gag reflex
- Will be undergoing a longer dental treatment (all work can be done in one appointment)
Lane & Associates offers sedation dentistry for the comfort of our patients across the Triangle and Triad of North Carolina.
