Lane & Associates is Back at Phillips Farm!

We are so excited to be back at Phillips Farm in Cary as the title sponsor of their farmer’s market. Happy Friday!

Lane and Associates Staff Appreciation GiftThis week, Lane & Associates has been filled with fun and fellowship. There are so many holidays in the month of March but this week we focused on some very special ones.

A company gift was distributed to all Dentists and Dental Assistants in honor of National Dentist’s Day (March 6th) and Dental Assistants Recognition Week (March 6th – March 12th). Each person received a branded Neoprene Wristband Key Chain along with a $25.00 Target Gift Card. Who doesn’t love a trip to Target?

Lane & Associates Family Dentistry was also represented at the National Mobile & Teledentistry Conference which was held in Las Vegas. The conference featured hundreds of entrepreneurs, industry experts, brand leaders, and dental professionals from across the world – all while diving into the future of dentistry! At LAA, introducing new methods of modern dentistry is always an exciting bonus.

Business of the Week

Speaking of exciting, North Carolina Oral Surgery + Orthodontics – Dunn (NCOSO) received an award. They were featured as Business of the Week by the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce. Keep watch for Dunn Chamber announcements next Wednesday! A special shoutout to Heather with the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce who came to the office and captured some amazing shots of the shining staff!

March is Sleep Apnea Awareness Month

Lane & Associates Dental Sleep Medicine Oral ApplianceNot only is March National Sleep Awareness Month, but it is also Sleep Apnea Awareness Month which means it’s time to fix the snore that is probably keeping your partner or your neighbors awake. One of the biggest complaints we hear in our offices is, “What can you do about my husband/wife/partner’s snoring?” Now, this doesn’t mean that all loud snoring is a sign of sleep apnea but it doesn’t hurt to take a look.Another question you’re problem thinking is, “How can my dentist fix my snore?” There are so ways to care for sleep apnea with dental treatment. Dental Sleep Medicine oral appliances are the perfect alternative to a traditional CPAP machine.

What is Sleep Apnea?

Let’s start with what sleep apnea is. Sleep apnea is technically the cessation or stopping of breathing, similar to holding your breath – but the difference is you can not control it. What kinds of C-PAP Alternative treatment options do we offer?

  • Dorsal – The Dorsal is a relatively new appliance on the market. It is unique in that the upper and lower component of the appliance is not connected as with other oral appliances, but are still adjustable. is allows for the full opening of the mouth, which improves comfort and is helpful in certain cases.
  • Herbst – EMA (Elastic Mandibular Advancement) – The EMAs primary function is to bring the jaw forward and keep the airway open. One of the major advantages of the EMA is its smaller size as well as its flexibility. Various lengths of flexible bands are used to adjust the position of the lower jaw. The EMA is one of the most comfortable oral appliances on the market.

Dental Outreach Day at LAA

As you know, giving back to our community is an essential priority at Lane & Associates Family Dentistry. We take pride in our communities and giving back to those in need. This past weekend, our dentists and staff at the Cary Green Level office provided a Dental Outreach Day to nearly 15 patients throughout NC performing nearly $15,000 worth of dentistry!

Of course, we wouldn’t be able to perform these amazing feats without our incredible team! Our volunteer staff included doctors Howard, DesRosiers, Piplani, and Bashir, dental assistants Sarah Benore, Alanna Johnson, Megean Rehm, Genevieve Chase Thomas, Amy Kenagy, and Darlene Rivera, hygienist Dorcas Eason, and office managers Heather Egan and Stephanie Santiago. Dental procedures performed ranged from dental cleanings and exams to root canals, extractions, and fillings. Patients traveled from all over North Carolina, even some driving from Greensboro to attend the event. We are so proud of our staff for volunteering their services and giving back to our communities! Thank you for your pure hearts and for sharing your talents!

Donating to a Great Cause

Lane & Associates had the pleasure of attending the 10th Annual Pink Tie Affair in Downtown Raleigh at the Marriott City Center in honor of the amazing 1ofUs Foundation. This year’s Pink Tie Affair was Carnival-themed and the entire fundraising event was decked out from head to toe with a Live Auction, performances, and entertainment!

The 1ofUs Foundation was started in 2010 and has since assisted more than 4,000 cancer patients in direct, non-medical related expenses that occur during cancer treatment. This financial assistance ranges from grocery assistance, gasoline and transportation, to rent, utilities, and even childcare. This direct financial assistance during cancer treatment is so important and has touched so many lives.

As a proud Presenting Sponsor for the event and long-time supporter, Lane & Associates was able to donate over $50,000 to support the cause! Thank you to all other supporters who have donated to this amazing foundation and supporting our North Carolina friends and families going through tough times during cancer treatment.

Last week our Lane & Associates team was proud to join the 13th Annual Tee-Off for the Troops Golf Classic held by Military Missions in Action(MMIA). The event took place at the Bentwoods Golf & Country Club in Fuquay-Varina and was a beautiful day spent golfing and giving back to Veterans with disabilities, members of the Armed Forces, and their families.

Dr. Raleigh Wright and marketing team member Lilly Holcomb (shown above) golfed the classic and participated in the competitions along the course. 

Military Missions in Action is dedicated to assisting veterans with disabilities, homeless veterans, members of the Armed forces, and their families. ​​MMIA’s varied programs work at providing support to Veterans who need construction project assistance due to disabilities or sub-standard living conditions and our homeless Veterans. They also send Care Packages to units that are down-range, as well as assist military families that are trying to make ends meet.

From the silent auction to the 50/50 raffle to the Red Wagon, the MMIA Golf Classic was a great way to reach its fundraising goal of $150,000. Lane & Associates was proud to be involved and donate to this amazing cause.

What a remarkable convention filled to the brim with dental knowledge, fellowship, and fun! Our corporate staff and dentists had the pleasure of attending the American Dental Association’s (ADA) SmileCon 2021 in beautiful Las Vegas last week! 

The convention was held at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and had over 10,000 attendees with 300 exhibitors! Our team attended CE courses, business in dentistry courses, and interacted with the other dental members from thousands of other practices across the country. 

The ADA had a new take on their typical annual meeting and created an immersive experience centered around the attendee. There were incredible speakers, Smile lounge games, creative sessions, and even a scavenger hunt! 

Thank you to the entire ADA staff, its volunteers, and the sponsors who hosted such an incredible week of learning, playing, and living dentistry! It truly made us smile! We can’t wait for the ADA SmileCon 2022 in Houston, see y’all there!

The Town of Cary’s 45th Annual Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts Festival was held this past weekend at Cary Town Hall. The event featured local artists, live entertainment, children’s activities, and a variety of food and drink vendors. Lane & Associates Family Dentistry was proud to be the Presenting Sponsor for this year’s event and excited to help cool down any festival go-ers with our fans and water stations! It was a hot one!

We also had a blast at our Kid’s Lazy Daze artwork station where they had an opportunity to draw, stamp, sticker, or color a fun piece of art! Take a look at some of the beautiful masterpieces!

Our prize wheel was spinning for attendees to win an assortment of swag items like T-shirts, frisbees, mints, and we even held a $100 Target Gift Card giveaway at the event. We’re sure you’re thinking, yeah, but who won?! We are so happy to announce that Jasmine S. won the $100 Target Gift Card! Congratulations, Jasmine!

It’s Back to School Season Once Again!

LAA is prepping for all of the back-to-school dental appointments and we were so thrilled to be a part of our local Cary school Cardinal Charter Academy’s Block Party! Their back-to-school Block Party was held on Saturday, August 7th from 10 am to 1 pm. Our Cary and Raleigh dental teams showed up with lots of fun games, prizes, free swag, and even a great giveaway (tickets to the Carolina Mudcats)!

There was also a Fresh Ice Cream Food Truck on-site for all of the kids and school tours were available for all of the registered families. What an amazing event and an incredible weekend! Thank you to all of the families that came out to see us and visit Cardinal Charter Academy.

Thank you for Joining Us

The Lane & Associates and NCOSO Dental Career Fair was held this past Friday, July 23rd at our Garner office and had an amazing turnout! We hope all who attended had an enjoyable experience learning about our company, our culture, and enjoying some yummy food at the same time!
