This season has a lot of special and fun memories for many of our employees, so we thought we would round up some of their favorite Fall traditions and Halloween costumes for a spotlight on our dedicated team members. It’s important to share memories with others and each of us have a story to tell. Take a look at our team’s traditions & stories below!
“For my son’s first Halloween, 2015, he was Chucky, dad was Freddy Kruger and I was a vampire. For Halloween 2016 my son was Captain Hook, I was Tinker Bell and dad was Peter Pan! He wore tights! For 2017, my son was a dragon, my daughter was a princess, dad was a dragon slayer, and I was his fair maiden. This year we are going with a superhero theme. My son will be Hulk, dad will be Thor, and my daughter and I will be Wonder Woman and wonder baby!”
Our Marketing Coordinator, Stephanie, LOVES Fall. Here are her favorite things to do over the season: “Fall is my favorite season! Partly because my birthday is in October…so I just get excited as September approaches. I “Fall” into the category of pumpkin spice lover, so I have to wait all year long to get my fix.”
“My favorite early Fall tradition is stalking Trader Joe’s and waiting for their pumpkin spice pancake mix to hit the shelves. As soon as it does I feel like I can begin all the fun things…decorating and enjoying hearty soups. #ILOVEFALL” Check out her seasonal decorations!
Two of our favorites were our Roseboro and Pittsboro offices. Our Pittsboro office chose to do a magical Unicorn land with Rainbows, clouds, and Skittles galore! Dr. Flynn even brought a fuzzy Rainbow pen around with him to sign patient charts.
Last but not least, our Roseboro office dressed up as animals & friends on a Farm. Plus, Dr. Miller was the Farmer. Our favorite touch is definitely the “EAT MOR CANDY” sign imitating the Chick-fil-a cow though. Way to be creative!

This year the Caniac Carnival will be on Sunday, September 30th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The 2018 Caniac Carnival will be located at the PNC Arena in Raleigh NC at 1400 Edwards Mill Rd. Raleigh, NC 27607.
For the FREE pre-season game, the Hurricanes will be hosting the Nashville Predators at 1:30 p.m. Please visit the Carolina Hurricanes website for tickets information.
The carnival itself is completely FREE and open to the public but the pre-season game requires tickets due to space. At this time, all pre-season free tickets have been claimed but according to the Canes website, you can sign up for the waitlist to be notified if tickets become available here. If you can’t get tickets to the actual game, you can still participate in the outdoor Caniac Carnival. There will also be FREE parking and attendants will direct you to the correct lots.
A better question would be what WON’T they have at the Caniac Carnival this year. All ages will have something fun to do! There will be bouncy houses, inflatable rides, interactive games, food trucks, a Kid’s Zone, a Sports Area, Live Music, and appearances by Stormy and the Pepsi Storm Squad! Since our Lane Raleigh dental team participated last year as well we know that you absolutely cannot miss the face painting or spin for a prize at our prize wheel!

When is Cary Lazy Daze Festival in 2018? The Festival runs over the span of two days: Saturday, August 25th, and Sunday, August 26th. Each day there will be a schedule of entertainment on the main stage, vendors selling local art & crafts, and food trucks lining the outskirts of the event. We are especially looking forward to the chalk exhibit by nationally known Chalk artist Lisa Gaither, featuring a 3D Chalk painting of floating balloons over a dark cliff. The artist posted a “before” photo of what the exhibit will look like below. Check it out!
Where will Cary Lazy Daze Festival take place in 2018? The festival will be held in Downtown Cary, NC from Academy Street to Wilkinson Avenue and around Ambassador Loop. Pro Tip: Start from one end of the event and make your way around! There will be plenty to see along each section & maps will be posted throughout the area so you won’t miss out on any goodies (including food which is in section F, we checked!). Many of the nearby churches and schools will have FREE parking and additional parking will be available all along the outskirts of the streets but get there early for a good space! Check out a map of the event below!
Why should I attend the Cary Lazy Daze Festival in 2018? If you are a fan of Food, Music, Art, Culture, and Local events – you don’t want to miss this! Since we were sponsors of the event last year we got to see the amazing vendors and entertainment all weekend long. An art vendor across from us had an amazing Light bulb exhibition that shone brightly throughout the weekend and many attendees found really great art deals throughout the event. We saw so many people going home with $15 cotton wreaths that we thought JoAnna Gaines was in town! Our last reason, but certainly not least, is that Lane & Associates will have DOOR PRIZES for adults and even a FREE T-shirt decorating station at our booth for kids! It will be an event the entire family will enjoy and we can’t wait to see you there!

Our new location will begin seeing patients on Monday, August 27th! Once you arrive at the building please take the entrance closest to the parking lot (the NC Oral Surgery + Orthodontics entrance) and use the elevators to the 2nd floor. We can’t wait for you to see the beautiful views from our 2nd floor dental practice in Cary!
Our offices will be closed from December 24th through December 29th to celebrate the holidays. We’ll be back and ready to assist you on Monday, December 30th.
