Ever wondered what Girl Power is?

Look no further than the Girl’s World Expo!! This year Lane & Associates Family Dentistry had the pleasure of being Presenting Sponsors for the Raleigh NC 2019 Girls World Expo at the Hilton Raleigh in North Hills on May 19th. Girls World Expo is a day-long event created BY local teen girls FOR local teen girls – the local Raleigh Girls Advisory Board is made up of teens from Raleigh who have created this unique show! These girls have also worked closely with their local media partner, to fill the day with seminars, performances, demonstrations, and vendors that serve needs in the Raleigh area!

Starting off the day with a bang was the welcome and Girls of Merit Award Ceremony where local Raleigh girls were recognized for their many achievements in the community. Our very own Social Media Manager, Alicia Wilson, spoke at the brunch to give our sincere congratulations to the girls. Check out the beautiful stars who were chosen as this year’s Raleigh Girls of Merit below!

Included in the day’s events were musical and dance performances by a variety of female artists, singers, and dance groups. Miss North Carolina USA and Miss North Carolina Teen USA were also in attendance along with a wonderful panel of strong female leaders in their industry. Exhibits and Workshops including Robotics, Tae Kwon Do, Wood Sign painting, STEM projects, Fashion Shows, and Vision Boards for Success were scattered throughout the expo. The attendees also had a chance to attend sessions such as “Using LinkedIn to Obtain Scholarships and Internships”, “Walking in My Womanness”, and “The Achievement Mindset” while also hearing from the Fearless Female panel. This panel included such names as Dr. Jo Allen (President of Meredith College), Carnela Renee Hill (CEO of CR Hill Design Group LLC) and Dina Schweisthal (Founder/Owner of KNACK DIY Craft Studio).

Many of the attendees also had opportunities to win prizes, interact with vendors at the Exhibitor Marketplace, enjoy the Live Music and Entertainment while also learning new & exciting trends for females! From Comic book graphics to Science & Tech, the future is female and we at Lane & Associates are proud to sponsor events such as the Girls World Expo that breathe life to the true foundation of a healthy happy journey for women at every age. Our Lane & Associates Garner dental team will be out and about at the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Strawberry Festival this weekend and they are BERRY excited! Our staff will be out with our amazing prize wheel for a chance to win some branded swag, treats, and other fun goodies! The Eggceptional Easter Eggstravaganza 2019 Recap

We want to send a very special thank you to all our Egg-ceptional attendees, Sponsors, Volunteers, and the entire Cleveland area community for joining us at the first Annual Eggceptional Easter Eggstravaganza event!

This being our first year putting on an event of this magnitude we are especially thankful to all attendees for their patience & we are taking every suggestion into consideration for next year’s event to make it even more egg-ceptional. From the Toddler Egg Hunt to our Cash Carnival to the big Helicopter Egg Drop our event was filled with fun activities for the entire family!

Watch the 2019 Helicopter Egg Drop!

The Helicopter dropped over 25,000 Easter Eggs on Saturday, April 20th at the C3 Church in Clayton, NC. Crowds were amazed by the Helicopter (and especially the pilots!) for their dexterous work in successfully maneuvering the fields and supplying eggs. Out of all of the Easter eggs, there were some special GOLDEN eggs supplied by our sponsors with goodies inside. We hope everyone loved the surprises inside!

Our favorite free event, besides the Helicopter Egg drop, was a tie between our Easter themed photobooth sponsored by Curtains Up Photobooth and the Easter Puppet show. Being able to pick out your background for each photo at the photo booth while also receiving a digital and print copy to take with you was a wonderful keepsake. Check out our Easter Puppet show that played in our Lane & Associates tent during the event below!

The yummy food this year was fantastic and we want to thank all of our amazing food trucks for coming out: Poblanos Tacos & More, Qspresso, Hole Mole, Baguettaboutit, Sweet Treats by Pablanos, and Frost Bite! We hope all of our attendees got to sample multiple food trucks (including the dessert trucks!) and enjoy themselves by sitting by the volleyball courts and cornhole sets.

Our vendors had a wonderful time handing out Free prizes, performing Free Invisalign® scans, painting faces, and helping kids have an awesome Easter event at the cash Carnival! We had a blowup Dragon bounce house that had the longest line but was definitely worth the wait and even some fun games like “Throw the pie” and Skee ball! From all of us at Lane & Associates Family Dentistry, we hope you had a safe and happy time at our Eggceptional Easter Eggstravaganza. We hope to see you next year!!

Lane & Associates Family Dentistry in Roseboro is throwing Rocks at Cancer and has been mentioned in The Sampson Independent’s article,”Hidden Words of Support.”

Our Roseboro office asked the community to be on the lookout for 16 hand-painted Breast Cancer Awareness rocks that they hid throughout the town. Each rock is painted with an encouraging note attached to the rock telling those lucky few to “Throw Rocks at Cancer!” and spread awareness!

Each person who found a rock was asked to post a photo of themselves with the rock, tagging the Roseboro office, and using our hashtags to share on social media! After they completed their task they were asked to hide the rock again for someone else to find and help continue to spread awareness. From the Roseboro office: “Cancer has affected each of us in some way and we couldn’t think of a better way to spread awareness other than involving our entire community! #LoveRoseboro”

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Lane & Associates is going PINK again this year!
